Well finally had time to take my 2000 formula to then track. By what i had seen i figured i would maybe run somewhere in between the 13.5 to 13.8 range.Boy was i suprised first run 13.261@104mph. then buddy said to adjust the shift points up 3mph 1-2 and 2-3 so i did. I hit the rev limiter 1-2 2-3 was perfect .But i ran a 13.161@106.671 mph. Adjusted the rev up but track got messed up and never got to make another run. mods hpp3 free ram air

What track? on street tires (dropped pressure?)? What were your 60' times?
And an "hpp3, and free ram air" are your only mods?

The track is in luchis over by silver creek ms. yes with street tires but i have the stock gears witch are 273's so i did not spin alick with all that track bite down.i had 34lbs of air pressure in the tires.my 60' on the first run was 2.109 and on the 2nd was 2.023 but on the 2nd i left harder when i seen it wasnt going to spin. my 8th was 8.578 and 8.492 both at 80.555 mph or so.I do have and slp air lid and just a flowmaster muffler. all of the guys there had slowed down about 1/4 to 1/2 a second from previous days there because of the air that day. i dont know if it hurt me or helped because it was my first time. BUT WHAT I DO KNOW IS THAT I FREEKEN LOVE IT . never would have thought it would run that.

Those are excellent times.Especially with those gears. Some cars just run better for some reason.Looks like you got a better running one. A little modding and 12's are right there.

Coated Long Tubes, off-road or Catted Y pipe... a better cat back than a just a Flowmaster muffler... If you'd like any more info on these, or other parts, feel free to shoot me a private message....
Even cheaper would be suspension mods, these would lower your 60's... as a rule of thumb, every .1th dropped in the short times gives you .2ths in the quarter. LCA's go for right at $100, and then you can get a PHR, LCA ReLo's if you are lowered... shocks... the sky is the limit....

May not be cheap but a 3200 stall convertor should drop you about 5 tenths.
You definetly have a factory freak.

that is a good time!!! a vigilanet would easily give you .5 off your time. that a new billet servo and a cooler and you psyched.
I would also add gears 3.73's preferably.
you will be a mid 12 machine no problem.
Have fun

sounds like your car is the same as mine, i just have 2 free mods and the hpp3 and it runs a 13. 2 on street tires with the stock 2.73 end, automatic. tipping into the 12's. so what ever you do or i do to get it into the 12's we should share the info.
but my next mods is a slp lid with a k/n filter, VR tb velocity stack, msd wires, and a slp ypipe. the important ones are the lid and the ypipe to repalce the factory not so good designs. to see if it gets me into the 12's and then a set of e.t.s or just some good drag radials to save the rear end. but with some good tires and thsoe other few mods i just mentioned it should see a 12.7 easy.
i guess you to can vauch for the hpp3 really working.

I would definatly go with a 3200 stall on the LS1 but I would go somewhere else and get the car tuned not use the HPP3 (Hypertech Power Programmer 3)
Im my opinion the HPP3 isn't good enough to tune with. Call PCMforless or MadZ28.com PCMforless was just in Gm hightech performance magazine and they talked about them in a real posative manner.

I've been happy with the PCMforLess tune on my 2000 Formie
I've got the 3:73's so THE Problem is traction - got to do the tires and subs too.
A stall will really help too but is pricey for LS1's and will definately require a custom tune.

Your build sheet has a code that will tell you what you have and the answer to the code is on the Formula Source home page - on the left side click on 98 - up LS1
then RPO decoder then enter the code and hit enter
The axle code will be a GU with a number like 1,2,4,5 or 6
Most A4 transmission Formies came with 2.73's and I think most M6 cars had 3.23's
