OK, we all know that the EVo's are quick. I mean seriously if anyone thinks that they are not then they haven't driven one.

With mods and boost these cars can and are potent BUT they are still 4 door built up economy cars.

I personally like the WRX better.

Well anyway, this kid in my town has an evo with all these mods and a glass (flat black hood) (remember the 60's when Plymouth used to have black hoods> Hmmm just something I notice)

anyway, I run into him and he knows my nephew and my nephew tells him that my car will toast him.

I guess he laughed and called my car as big as a cadillac and no problem.

well I raced him after I told him what I was told and he said yeah man your car is old school tech and no problem. Today things are different.

I go yeah you are right today kids don't know what a real car is so they buy a 4 door econo box with a with and AWD and think it is all that.

I asked if he had even been in anything from the 60's or any f-body.

you all know the answer a big NO.

We raced on the same access road where I have raced everything from other f-bodies to vettes to vipers, ad I took him not only off the line but pulled on him until I was too far too count car lengths.

I thought he would get me off the line but nope.

Well people it seems that evolution as we know it has stopped so we have to be happy with things the way they are lol

He wants to race again next week and video it.

he thinks he can take me as he says the car needs a tune.

oh as evo's go it is a nice evo (if you like a modified cheap 4 door jap mobile)

I am sorry but I think in a few years these cars will be gone as RWD has made a come back!

Maybe there will always be Rally fans that like them, and actually I like the STi WRX but man make it in a 2 door, drop the sticker below 30K and make them a bit more substantial (ever work on one) there is not much to them

There was one at the track last year in the 12's I think. Funny looking kinda but not bad.

When people 30 years from now are reflecting back on "the good ol' days" from the 90's and early 00' they will be talking about cars like Firebirds,Camaro's,Mustangs,ect.. A few will remember "a fast 4 banger" but legends are just that.Cars have to earn a right to be a legendary icon like our cars.And they have to survive for years like our cars.

This kid has no chance. The same night there is a guy with a 550HP new viper I want to race (he should beat me) but I want to go for it.

This guys Viper is AWESOME it was a stock 550 Car and he has done alot to it so I most likely have no chance but we raced from light to light on rt 9 in my town and he spun and I won!

I want his car !!! It is amazing. I mean seriously I love my formuls but a VIPER!!!

and a built one this car is a gorgous black color with a purplish tint on the hood and it is bad. Hey if all I see is tail lights so be it I still have like under half into my car than he does.

But again it is just an awesome Viper.

I mean we are all car guys and lets face it a Viper is an awesome machine!!!

I talked to him and he said no matter what the outcome he wants to switch cars and go. he said he hates me cause I got him from light to light with his chick in the car. I told him I was just lucky he got too thrttle happy but we will switch cars anyway!

His name is BOb and be knows everyone I do. he is 50 and knows my dad and is a great guy. I am looking forward to this!

Nice kill. There is a former F-body owner here with an Evo. It is kind of sad, he had an awsome Camaro. His Evo is not match for my slightly bolt on car. I had him by three cars without trying.

As for the WRX, I hate the transmission in them. They do not last that long, especially if you modify them.

I've raced lots of WRXs, and you can totally tell which ones have changed the pully and raised the boost. Stock I take no problem, others I get 3-4 car legnths and some i get 1-2. Haven't been beaten by one yet.

Krock WRXs dont change the pulley to raise the boost like a Cobra they have to play with the TURBO to do that.


Doug I got to race a 97 GTS on the highway once we kicked he jumped a little ahead of me but the ol 383 LT1 started pulling on him I shut down at 120 with about 2 car lenghts on him I think he was slightly pissed but very surprised.
