I just replaced my head unit with a new dual.

I got it mainly for the nice aux input in the back for my ipod. I bought the real expensive sad.gif icable that is all 24k gold plated and the wires are in a braided line double helix style. I soldered all the new harness to the stock harness, but now it doesnt sound like it is getting enough power. The speakers dont sound as loud as they used to and i think the sound quality actually went down with the new head unit. Any ideas on what is happening? I want to replace all the interior speakers, (I have the monsoon setup) but not sure with what and what my price range is at the moment.

ok so i went and talked to a few people today about the lack of power. They said now that I have a new head unit i need to bypass the old monsoon system.

Which means taking out the stock amp in the back and rewiring or getting a new amp. They recommended an alpine 4 channel amp. My dual only has rear pre-amp outputs though. So I am thinking of using my cross-over I have to redirect the low-pass and high pass to my sub amp i already have and then to the alpine 4 channel.

good idea? Will the 4 channel be enough for the 10 speakers? Also they told me if I were to do that I basically HAVE to upgrade all the speakers too. Not sure if they are trying to get me for my money or if they are telling the truth.
