Well he wanted a baseline to have an idea what he is doing.. so a trip to the local industrial parkway. We did some WOT pulls and messed with his SDS stand alone fuel management setup with built in wideband o2 channel. Got the injectors and timing set up pretty darn good under WOT.
I just "happened" to have my new g-tech with me and he was dying to try it. We have 2 flat strait spots with 1/4 miles marked off.. First run was a high 13 right around 100 and after leaning out the mixture before next run was a mid 13 again around 100ish. I was surprised that little thing runs so good.. normally sr swaps are mid to high 14's. ANYWAY the fun part
I had two 20's in my pocket and I definatly think i can take him in the bird (if not by speed.. i know my car soo skill comes into play). So i mentioned it to him and he said what the heck so best of 3.. He was logging the runs to check for any hickups in the program neway.
We line up... first run he doesnt fade the clutch high enough to build boost and I BLAST foward with no need for boost and he just drops off after he couldnt even touch the launch i got
We line up the other way... Another sweet launch with minimal slip from me. His lauch was good I hear his turbo spooling even with my LOUD exhaust. He runs at my back bumper moving few feet foward and backwards between shifts.
Last run even though I got him on the last 2. We were both having a blast. This run was identical to the second run.. I get a good jump at the launch and he just cant get ahead of me.
It was really fun especially since no cops even go through the parkway since its completely closed down on the weekend. My buddy video taped the races including me VS a stock R/T Dakota 5.9 Liter (not even worth my gas but its just my buddies and I having fun)
Well I left with a missing halfish tank of gas and $40 bux in my pocket to cruise out to the flats in cleveland with.
