so i am out with my buddy hitting up the local friday night car spots checking out some amazing cars when i stop at a light and this kid ina convertible turbo eclipse pulls up next to me wiht his buddy ans they start to make fun of my car cause its not all one color and it needs a new drivers side fender. i just look at him and smile the light turns green and i get on it enough to run right by his rear bumper, now he thinks he can take me for real. so his buddy and him keep making fun of my car and i look at him straigh faced and asked him if he wanted a head start, they both burst out laughing and i thought my buddy was gonna pee hi pants in my passenger feet (he knows what my car is capable of) and i was like i am serious i will give you a car length before i touch the gas. kid looks at me and was like you are gonna regret that i just smiled again and said we'll see. the light turned green he took off squeeling the tires and i let him get out past the front fender and i launched before i even got out of first gear i was already by him and i had to wave when i went by. lets just say when we pulled up to the next stop light he didn't have much to say but i did i looked at him and told him he better know what he's gettng into before he opens his mouth looks can be decieving!!!

i had another run in with a 300z but that is nto worth writting about it was that bad i didn't even go wide open i felt really bad for the guy lol.

no the z was definently not turbo

just shows you it is better to have the "GO" Then the "SHOW" so many painted an lowered and chrome wheeled underpowered cars that the kids think shiny stuff makes them fast.

We all need to remember that alot of the younger crowd have no idea what real HP is especially when they grow up thinking a inline 4 is fast! They most likely have never felt the neck snapping pull of a built big block, or the high revving HP of an old 283 for that matter!

Don't get me wrong when I race ANYTHING I go for blood because you NEVER know and I don't want some kid with a built NOS 4 banger smoking me (oh and it can happen)

Thos Eclipse's when built and the AWD can be quick (notice I say QUICK) cars. They can get out of the hole fast and get to about 40MPH fast then they have nothing (no torque no top end)

GM low end torque, and a torque curve as flat as an end table baby!!! That is what it is all about.

Look at most of GM's small blocks they make like 65% or more of thier total torque by under 2000 RPM in alot of cases. That is what I am talking about!
