So on my way to the Solo2 racing on Sunday, I just got into Santa Fe and had to stop at a light (3 lanes straight ahead) when this blue R32 pulls up along right side, and a red one pulls up on the left side (I'm in the middle). One of them throws some revs so I think...I'll teach them both a lesson. Light turns green and my car jumps through the intersection...probably already 2 or 3 cars ahead of them by the time I get to 35 (the speed limit). The blue one was really behind...I heard him just spinning his tires when the light turned green. I run the car up to 45 since most cops in the area won't bust you for 10 over, and then I just cruise...at least 5 lengths or more ahead at that point. Then of course they both do the ricer flyby and the red one pulls in front of me at the next light (still in the middle lane) while the other is next to him in the right lane. (Don't even get me started on the crappy traffic flow in Santa Fe...it's like playing the kiddie game red light green light) This time I just rode up behind the guy to 45 and then eased off...didn't even go to full throttle. laugh.gif So anyway they both turn right and I just keep going straight...get to the Solo2 registration...and while I'm standing in line, they both pull up.

They didn't do too bad on the course, although I don't think the Red one ever ran the entire course correctly. The blue one seemed to go through the course pretty smoothly though. I hoped I would stage close to them so I could give them a hard time about the "street race" but I got staged way back in the PM runs. That blue one ran so smoothly through the course that I told my wife that she should get one of those to run in Solo2. Nice looking cars too, but I've heard from friends that own newer VW's that quality control is a real problem on them.

Anywho...Sunday was the most fun I've had in who knows how long!
