well in a hurry today to see if all my wiring worked, I hooked up the amps and the crossover and put the main fuse in.... *pop* ~~~~~smoke~~~~ so now it seems I blew my new amp. in the hurry I accidently put the ground and pos. backwards on the amp. luckily it is under warranty for now.
also I was wondering, how are high level inputs comparted to low level (rca's)?

High level inputs use the speaker wires coming from the radio for the input on the amp. Normally the radio must be only rated around 4 watts or so so the amp wont be damaged. This connection involves more wires and it typically a "noisier" way do hook it up.THD % is higher this way.
The line level inputs just plug in and are considered the best way to install an amp. Some older radios dont have the line level outputs so thats why the amp has the ability to run a high level input.
I use the line level outs from the radio to power my sub amp/speaker and the radios high level outs to power everything else.
