Kid at school wanted to race me w/ his zx2 escort which he claims 0-60 in 7 seconds. lol He also claims that he can double clutch it. I didnt even being to explain how everything he says is stupid and wrong, I just smiled and said its on for $10. In order to save gas since the price is 3.30 for 87 here I only raced at 3/4 throttle and he was murdered IT was like he was standing still literly I never saw him after the third honk I dont know if he has anything or nothing but It really doesnt matter. I asked him how my exhaust smelled and continued on my way home. Not a very exciting race but thought Id share the arrogance of a ricer in an american car.

Just another unfortunate sucker who has never been in a real performance car. Take him a ride...he may wet his pants

Oh yeah and I just put new 1.6 rr's on and I think im having some Knock retard at RPMS above 4,000 but I think I only barely went over 4000 when racing him. He actually is a fairly cool guy as he does respect REAL muscle cars but for some reason thought my was slow...mainly because of my a4.

There are a few cars in our lot who want a race w/ my as well. I actually could have raced this kid in his WRX w/ BOV and exhaust a few days ago, we were both at a light but it was the day after I uninstalled all my new valve train parts and really didnt want to push them just yet. So I will race him later.

What kind of chances do you think I have w/ these cars..since there most likely will be money involved.

- 2004 Mustang GT w/ exhaust 5 speed...?

kina reminds me of when I raced the RSX Type-S. The guy must have just bought it and totally believed the Acura Salesman that probably told him that he had a 'really fast car.' He can now consider himself 'schooled!' I just love teaching lessons from the "School of F-Body"

The cars you mentioned above would all be close races. The WRX can be fast,especially out of the whole if he can drive it. The Mustangs could hang good so it would be fun.

IMO the mustangs wouldn't pull on your until 3rd gear. Those DOHC engines have great high end.

Well Jaz... have fun racing those 'stangs... but be careful if the WRX... i hate to admit it, but i lost a race to a WRX with a BOV and exhaust...and about ten other things apparently (mind you this was when my engine was stock) they can be downright FAST when you dont expect it. Kinda funny, i havent seen a WRX since my mods that'll race me. . . i digress. Just watch it, if hes not TOTALLY open about his mods, he could very well smear ya across the pavement... but ya wont know until ya try... SO GO GET'EM!!

Thats funny, my everyday driver is a 2003 zx2. It's pretty fast compared to othe 4cy. But I wouldnt even try a Firebird.

no they are def dohc. the wrx can an probly will pull u off the line but not to much an u should catch him just fine with no mods to the turbo. the mustangs i wouldnt worry about the first one, but the one with gears can really make a diffrence in the car. if he can drive itll be a good race.

Just the Cobras are dohc. I am not sure about the 05's

The 05's are SOHC, just with 3-valves instead of 2, so they got a small power boost... from 285(?) in 04 to 300hp this year.

it sounds like this zx2 guy is alot like my friend that drives a 2000 automatic cavalier (non-z24) and thinks he's fast. except my friend will talk all kinds of crap untill i challenge him a rece for a tank of gas. then he shuts up for a little bit.
