I ran my truck at Epping and it ran a 15.8 (seems like a day compared to my car)
The truck is all built and making in the neighborhood of 450HP.
It has a 4" lift kit and 33" tires. The truck flies.
Oh it is a 1990 Z71 short bed. new crate ZZ4 motor and cam head package
full exhaust, gears, all the goodies.
I did it all last year and ran it a few weeks ago
I didn't build this truck to drag at all just was up there with it and figured why just watch when I can run.
It is basically my winter truck but it is all custom and in great shape (black and silver)
Have fun

Those are some pretty good times for a gasoline truck. However, me and my buddy went to the a diesel truck show in Spokane, WA this summer. After the show everyone with a truck went to SIR to race. My buddy has a 2004 duramax diesel with a 150 hp chip and a sunco tranny. He ran a 15.0 flat on the first run and that was with a full toolbox, a passenger, and a full tank of gas. The funny thing is that his truck was one of the slowest there. There was also a cummins that ran a 11.6 (nhrda). (Watch out doug, formula killer

) There was also a daily driven cummins that ran a 12.0.

Oh I know man. There are some sick mods for diesel trucks. Gale Bamks makes a conversion that adds something sick like 225HP OVER stock. I have seen alot of sick diesels!
Hey, There are all sorts of sick cars, and trucks out there and a ton of them will kill my car.
That said most of them have power adders and I do not. I could add a NOS set up for under a grand and run in the 10's maybe faster. I could supercharge and get the same result.
I would SC if I was going to do a power adder as it is on al the time and street legal.
Hey, I love all these F-bodies for the power they make without a power adder.
GM knows how to make HP without a SC. Look at the new Z06. it is simply the best bang for the buck car EVER built. 65K for 198MPS and a 3.5 0-60 and a mid 11 sec 1/4
That is just awesome. Imagine adding a SC to it or better a twin turbo set up.
Have Fun
