Theres this guy that just got a 94 stang and he sais it's 5.0. I thought they stopped the 5.0 in 1993?Should i be worried cuz he's talkin alot of mess? huh.gif

ok. if it is a true 5.0L and has mods they can be VERY potent. I have run 5.0's with 600HP. that said if it is stock anything in the 4th gen should run with it or beat it as
even the Ford crowd will tell you once 1993 came they were outclassed. Not to mention the later model cars.

The 4.6L modular for motors are easy prey again unless they are modified to the hilt. and a 03 Supercharged Cobra will take your lunch money if you are not up to it.

95 was the last year for the 5.0 and I wouldn't worry about him. I got a friend with a 95 5.0 GT and one with a 95 z28, both stock the z28 beat the stang. Not by too much apparently but beat him nontheless.

The fox body stangs with the 5.0 can be very potent. I had a friend in High School with one and it was dang fast. With a rather small investment, these engines can get into and beyond the 400HP range (kind of like an F-body).

ok well. IMO= the 5.0's are slow in stock form. the 4.6 liters sub 1999 are slow and gts above that arent that impressive either but better.with mods obviously that all changes but just like ur cars(cant say our sad.gif
ok full bolt on fox bodys are still just 14sec. cars with FI they pick up alot. H/C they drop into the low thirteens mid 12s. the 94 95 5.0 with bolts ons are STill only 14 sec cars. they weigh more than a fox body. the weight is the foxbodies advantage.

but what does this guy have for mods? intake exhaust pullies and gears plus a decent driver an he'll be pretty close.

I drove a 96 4.6l GT for the better part of a year. Even with cold air and a coupla small mods, i learned fast to not even look @ an LT1 or LS1 f-body, wasnt worth wasting gas in a race i knew i couldnt win. Unless the guy has put some decent mods on the 5.0, i dont think his stock 215 hp will be any real competition, even if he has exhaust and CAI, he'll have a real hard time keepin up. Early-to-mid 90's Mustangs should stick with a closer race: modded ricers. Im not trying to sound cocky or arrogant, but the majority of Stang (myself formerly included) havent done much, and have no real idea of the true advantage the F-bodies have over them. I really think the only reason they still have Stangs is the fact that they've never driven an F-bod. Once i test-drove mine, i converted REAL FAST.

even my car pushing 200 grand on the odo. i beat a 94 stang with headers roller rockers full cat back heads and a 100 shot of nitrous. on all motor beat him by 3 lenghts on the gas beat him by a length and then a half length. he sprayed out of the hole on the second run first run just 2nd and up.
