I currently have Kenwood KFC-P603 components which sound pretty good, but I was wondering if I'd do better with JL Audio TR-650. Looking at them online, the hardware is not as impressive as my current Kenwoods. The JL's don't seem to have a crossover like most other components do, as well as my Kenwoods. Thanks.

IMO, pioneer and infiniti make really good products. I would look @ them first.

i went with the polk 6.5" components and love them i am running them unamped off my kenwood 828 deck and its amazing i have the 6.5" coaxials in the sail panels also with 2 infinity 10's in the trunk pushed by a 1200 watt rockford punch (401s) amp. it sounds amazing!!!!

I don't plan on running off the deck as I have an amp that puts out 40x2 RMS.

that amp would work perfect for those speakers if the deck i have is pushing them fine. The front components are 120watts max i believe with 75watts rms and the rears are 100 with 50watts rms if i remember right i will double check. I too am eventually going to buy the polk amp that matches those speakers. i will take pictures of the setup if you are interested in how it looks i also have a set of rockford fosgate components and 2 6x9's that i had in my 93 that i am now going to part out.

Actually, I now plan on keeping my Kenwoods as my front stage components since there's really nothing wrong with them. Like I said, they sound pretty good powered by my 40x2 RMS amp and I didn't pay too much for them. Highs are clear, vocals are smooth, even when the volume's turned up. I also like the looks of the tweeters (they're gray like the interior, and pretty small so they don't stick out too bad on my a-pillars). I'll start looking again if they get damaged or blown.
93, get an amp. I did, and could not believe the difference it did for my front stage. Of course I still run my rears off the head unit (not as loud as the front, but that's the way I wanted it).
