OK,

Well, I took my car out of hibernation about a month ago. It has seen very limited use but the last wek I have been driving it everyday.

Well a ricer with an issue has been the latest victim. I do not say that proudly!

I hate racing little small displacement ricers driven by young kids that have never felt the torqur of a built GM small block much less a big block. These kids think alot of torque is in the low 200 range!

Well an AWD eclipse Turbo with the big factory spoiler and a HUGE exhaust tip tried me out.

I was cruising and he pulled up and started to ppull ahead and then back to me, and his passenger was laughing. I just looked over and gave them a look like (are you for real)

So we get to a light and we go, the race was over before my car banged 2nd gear.

Then we went again, and a third time with the same results. after the third I pulled like 20 car lengths and just slowed to a normal pace well he comes flying up, so I feather it just enough to stay with him, and I look over and point ahead and then with 3 fingers.

We go again and I just pull away and he is done.

This is all on 2 lane Rt 9 in Natick Ma (not the best place bust not any cars around)

I finally put on my signal for my turn and it is sharp so you have to slow to like 5MPH and he goes flying by.

The funny thing is his car lets out this HUGEEEEEEE BANNNNNNNGGG.

then it slows down in a hurry. I have no idea what he broke but it wasn't good.

Oh well, I look forward to racing more formitable cars in the good weather.

Have fun all and keep it safe even on the streets.

He probably did not know how to launch an AWD car. He should've pulled you from the dig buy you would've taken him after that.

Good kill anyways.

Sweet Kill man. Thats the one thing about kids these days: they dont research their opponents. If they were smart, they would know where their car stands in the mix of all the cars out there (not in F-body land), and pick to the ones that are in their category. Im sorry you had to waste your gas on him. Better kills in the future.

good kill. I've been having similar luck. Today on the way home, I passed an SS camaro with a flame job, GRFX, and altezzas. He switched freeways before we could make a run. Too bad, it probably would have been a good run.

scrmn,

I hear what you say but I have NEVER lost off the line to a WRX, an EVO, or an Eclipse all wheel drive, even a AWD 3000GT I pulled on.

Maybe I am just lucky but after beating a bunch at the track with 1.7 sec 60' and beating a ton on the street I feel very secure.

Not all of them could be bad drivers.

I work with a guy with a STI with a bunch of mods and I take him off the line in the dry pavement.

All the above cars I have lost to off the line in less than perfect dry conditions.

I don't know what to say.

Hope I don't sound like a jerk.
