6th run the rear end went snap crackle pop.

I have a very noticeable miss up top, about 5500 rpms and above, so I know theres a ton left in the car. Cant wait to get it back on the road.

very nice I should be running about the same times with mine i just can't hook it up and i can't fford to break the rear as it is the last time at the track literally ripped the clutch disc apart. I guess its an excuse now to do the twin disc setup. Put a 12 bolt in your car and a ggod set of slicks and drop the clutch at 4k or higher and let it fly!

Upcoming mods for next year...

-QA1's or Koni adjustable shocks/springs
-9" with 4.10's
-some slicks mounted on a 15" rims possibly
-finding and eliminating the miss that I currently have

Im shooting for mid 11's with this setup next year.

The Eibach lowering springs and the 10 bolt were not helping me at all when I made this pass, neither did the horrific miss I have up top. Watch out for new times next year, possibly this year if I can get the miss sorted out within the next week or two.

Here's a clip of the 10 bolt going on vacation....

Just took a look inside the 10 bolt...

those are some nice times man...i need to start modding my car to get me into the 12's

Car should be running a low 12, possibly a high 11 with some good tires and me shifting the right way.

I also have a terrible miss, possibly valve float, that is robbing me of a good pass.

Learning how to get those 60' times is tough. My LS1 is an automatic.
With the street tires I've got I cant get any advantage by doin' a foot brake rev launch.
I've tried at 1200 rpm and my 60's are all over 2 seconds. but the RT .0xx - reall good.
I burn thru first and well into second before she'll hook. Best time was 12.974 1/4

This past weekend at Thunder Racings track day (same old worn 18'' tires) I held her at 600 rpm and nailed it when the 3rd yellow flashed. My worse out of 10 runs was 1.935 60' 12.917 1/4 - horrable RT of .525 - I think I was asleep wacko.gif

After that I woke up and every run was in the 12.8xx 1/4 average 60' 1.911 - 1.920, best RT 0.032 but I was experimenting with the launch and it was a high 12.892 1/4 1.954 60'
Best 1/4 was 12.806 1/4 with a 1.920 60', RT .227
Just 0.007 from a 12.7 time rolleyes.gif

I think I need to launch at the second yellow with launching at near idle to get the RT and 60' down.

My Formie has 373's and long tubes. Thats it. No cam up grade or suspension stuff.
I had taken off the aluminum driveshaft because of vibration and the solid LCR's (Rattles) and went back to stock. I need subframes, sticky tires, and maybe a 224 cam. That would put my formie into the 11's.

Formyla - no matter what you run, just remember... LT1 > LS1!

Just messing around. Anyways, those are some great times. Gotta love the LS1's.
Formyla
 I love F-Bodys!

We will see

Pontiac power may be > LT1 and LS1  gears.gif
