Well yesterday i accidentally closed my center console lid on my waterbottle that was not inside the console all the way, and the little plastic latch broke off :-( I didnt see the thing sticking out so when i went to close it, the force broke the thing right off. I can live with it like that for now, cause i can still push the plastic that locks it down, but the big nice rectangular piece broke off and it's very annoying to look at and use. I was wondering if anybody knows where i can get a replacement latch. I would LIKE to try to stay away from replacing the entire top lid unless i absolutely have to, cause it's in perfect condition otherwise. Or, if anybody knows a way i can fix it, let me know. I am thinking of trying to cement glue it together and see how that turns out....

I found the part number for the latch for the 96+ lid, it's 10273749, approximate price for it $22. wacko.gif I'm not sure if someplace like Advance Auto or Auto Zone will carry it so you might have to go to a dealer to get it. Hopes that helps you out.

Any good junk yards around?

Try GMpartsdirect or even the dealer if a slightly higher cost isnt a factor then of course there F-body junk yards like

http://www.tacreationsusa.com/

that always helped me when I called and other junk yards like

http://www.car-part.com/

Formyla, I checked on GMPartsDirect. That's where I got the part number for him and it isn't cheaper there. With the cost of the part plus the shipping, it's actually a $1 more from them then from the dealer. blink.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
