Alright, my dilemma over the past few months is getting my wrecked Formy back to where I can drive it. After A LOT of thought and not wanting to shell out the money to replace the pop-up headlights or drop a grand into the breathless performance "fixed headlight" conversion, I've decided to fabricate my own.

What I'll be using:

(Free)2 Sheets of Sheet Metal
(Free)1 Can of Black Spray Paint
(Free)2 Squares of PlexiGlass
(Free)Heat Gun
(Borrowed)My Friends V6 Firebird (To bend the Plexiglass)
($33)2 Sylvania "CoolBlue" Sealed Headlamps

I plan on forming a "pan" with the Sheet Metal and then spray painting it black to match my cars stock color, I'll then cut out a 4"x6" square hole and mount the Sylvania Headlamp in it. Each pan will be mounted into the slot where my old flip ups were. I will then have to cut down about 3 inches into the Bumper cover so the lights are able to hit the road and not just illuminate the inside of my bumper cover . Now since I'm going for a "stock" look when I'm finished, I'm going to bend two sheets of plexiglass using my friends Fbody and a heat gun so they fit the contore of the car, then they will be then cut to the shape of the openings and sealed onto the pans.

Eventually they will be "Blacked Out" so you won't even be able to tell they're Fixed

I plan on doing this today so I'll most likely Post Pictures of the Final Product later.

Except I'll be using a single sealed beam instead of seperate High and Low Lamps.

I bought the Headlamps that sylvania says for the 96 Firebird annnnd they are completely different connectors......

Going back tommorow to see what the dealio is.

That sucks. I wonder what's up with them having the wrong connectors. I'm just wondering cause I use those on my 99 and I've never had that problem.
