wish i could go to the year one experience, but I drove to knoxville this past weekend and will be going to the gathering. Just can't make the trip to atlanta this weekend.

I checked out that web page bro but I didnt see any phone # for the Hotel to book a room and sign up for the show... maybe Im just over looking it but Ive checked 3 times... Only thing I keep seein is the dates its gonna be on, the location, and how much it is...

Be very wary of the Atlanta area and the bigtime car thieving of hot rods going on there. This past weekend at the Year One experience there were a total of 12 hot rods stolen spread across all the venues and some hotels. A friend from another club had his 1978 Olds Cutlass 2dr. stolen from the dragstrip parking lot, and his son's '72 Pro street Nova was taken as well. They found the Nova after a 130+ mph chase led to rods thrown through oil pan and tranny busted ,but the thief escaped on foot. The Cutlass, owned since 1981 by Gary and fresh off a 7 year resto/mod project in which the only things that didn't come off the car was the rear glass and the brake booster, has yet to be found. Another lowlight - The Camaro on display from Air Ride Technologies was stolen also. These thieves seem to have no fear.

On top of this year's horrors, last year the same event netted a reported 10 stolen hot rods. Those of you who went this past weekend, hope you still have all you left with. Those planning on going to the Hot-lanta area this coming weekend, please be very careful and hopefully your hot rod won't end up being a victim.

thanks for the heads up. I imagine i t would be kind of tough to swipe a car from this as we are mostly all congregated in the hotel parking lot and many people are out there pretty late but I'll def. be keeping a close watch on my baby as usual.
