Just a personal invitation for all on the source to our local show. it is Saturday September 8th. It is the largest and oldest continuous car show in the state of Mississippi. Now in its 31st year. Located in Belmont Mississippi just 2hrs from Memphis 1.5hrs from Huntsville 1hour from Tupelo and 1hour from the Shoals. Last year there were 275 registered participants hoping for over 300 this year. Goody bags for the first 275 dash plaques for all. 1st-3rd place trophies in each class, best of show stock, best of show modified, sherriffs choice, mayors choice, corvette enthusiast award, and the pat reed memorial award. Pat has been in charge of this show for the past 30 years up until he lost his battle with cancer this past year. Our car club The Heart of Dixie Firebird Association has taken on the honor of hosting this show and with sponsorships from year one, meguiars, mothers'. and eagle one this is sure to continue to be a huge success. All proceeds will be going to the Belmont Area Parks and Recreation Association (a 501 c 3 not for profit organization). We are building a state of the art playground that all children including those with physical handicaps can play on. Since Katrina all grants are going to the south part of the state so this is being built by donations and fund raising. All entry fees can be counted as a tax deduction. Entry fee is 20 for the first car and 15 for the second. We hope some of you can make it.
