Blackbird Jon
So here we are before another upcoming AutoFair, and I'll be attending Sat. and Sun. Sept. 15th & 16th. My club(and car within) will be located on pit road 2nd club against pit wall from turn 4. Anybody else going? If you've never been, you should at least go once - there are many, many, many, many, many cars, parts, and people there.

Here's a few pics from Saturday at the spring '07 AutoFair:

Nobody's going!?!?!?!?!?!

I mean come on, this is a HUGE event. Thousands of cars and people. Vendors with anything car related(and a bunch of stuff not car anything) - a hot rodders toy store so to speak. Even if you have to travel a bit, it is worth it. People come from all around, the show/sale/swap meet all fun, but the area has plenty of other goodies that can make it a nice weekend get-away.

They sell cold beer too wink.gif dancenana.gif drink.gif

Sorry Jon, wish I could make it this year but I can't due to things beyond my control. But have a beer or two for me if you can. cool.gif

Yeah it'd be nice to see you, but maybe you can make it to another one.

A beer or 2 is no problem. That's the nice thing about all day care shows. I can get my beverage consumption on early(yes cold beers in the a.m.) so I can eat a big afternoon meal and be sober for the drive home.

I'll be there both Saturday under the stands and in the infield on Sunday with my group. I took home a best of show this past April and in your first pic, if you count back to the 4th row of cars from the break in the grass before turn 1 you'll see us. I'm assuming from your name that your car is black, so is mine. Maybe we'll run into each other , check your map of the event and look for Charlotte F Body. You with Triad or Carolina F Body?

Just now saw the sig pic, guess that answers the black question. Very nice.

Thanks for the compliment on the T/A. I am a firm believer in the " ninja.gif blackness ninja.gif " of any Firebird I may own, whether you speak of the paint or the marks it leaves on the roads burnout.gif

As you can see from my 4th pic above my club was under the grandstands both days this spring(due to the rain on Sun.) and also that my club is a little different. My club is the PPAACC(Piedmont Performance All-American Car Club) so we allow any and all makes of domestic performance. My gf's car is the white Mustang next to the T/A. I checked my map and saw the Charlotte F-Body is on the grass right in front of Piedmont Performance on Sunday at least. My club will be backed up against the beginning of the pit wall(4th turn side) facing the stands both days.

Congratulations on the award from this spring! Mine is no show winner, but I have as much fun with it as anyone can have with their car!!!!

We are a easy going beer drinking crap talking group of people in my club, so as long as your not wound too tight you'll have fun if you stop by my club and hang out for a bit.

Looks like a nice event that would be quite a walk to see it all.
We havent even had the usual car shows lately sad.gif bummer

I'm familiar with PPAACC, Glen Backstrom is a member of both clubs with his '02 yellow T/A. I was a member of GMMOC some years ago but found Charlotte F Body and have been with them ever since. I hope to meet you that weekend. I know we need the rain around here but let's hope it's nice and dry for those 4 days.
