I put about 175 miles on the car at the track. Went through a set of pads in 4 laps and then ran out and got some racing ones which last me the rest of the weekend.

This is from the MFBA Road America track rental. It was a great weekend with a ton of cars. Ill upload some more pics of other vehicles later on.

Going into turn 5, I had it at 135mph and could NOT stop... all 4 brakes started to smoke, it was like something out of a James Bond movie, like a smoke screen. The car behind me could NOT see me, but luckily there is plenty of run off room there.

I also have a ton of video footage that I still have to upload.

Our next event is this April.

Sounds like a real blast - I like road racing even better than drag. I ordered a fender roller today and will be getting Stenos springs if they can still be had.

Road racing is definitely a ton of fun! Much more involved than drag racing. Nothing like going 135mph and then having to slam on the brakes at the last minute and accelarting through the tur to do it all over again.... nothing like downshifting and using the engine to slow you down as well... now that's a rush.

Joe- unfortunately, just as the bird is paid off, there's someone coming in from Kansas to pick her up within the next few weeks. This is THE hardest decision that I had to make. I never wanted to sell her, as I wanted to rebuild her with my kids when I do have them and they're old enough to work on cars. But there are a few things currently that I need to put down as a priority. She is a great car, and I will not be the same person without her. I plan on replacing her with a C5 Z06 during the winter of 2008 as then prices should fall, and Ill road race it.

at least I have a good drag strip about 10 minutes away, it was even used on pink a few times
