Preferably without too much fanfare. If not, I might just get a Firehawk hood.

If you feel like cutting up your hood than sure...if having holes in your hood = fuctional

I took my old factory hood vents off and tried myself before I scrapped it. It was damaged in a parking lot fender bender. Tried just out of curiousity and boredom. Problem is, behind the panels in front is a structural support. Would have to cut through all that. Not really worth it. Besides the fact the hood would now be weaker.

Just check around on Ebay. You can find some good deals there. I got a WS6 style Harwood hood for $400 including shipping.

Negative. Heat Extraction= functional. I was wondering if there was a factory "knockout" or something, but thanks for the help.

Just to let you know, be sure to check out any Harwood ram air hoods that you find for sale. I'm saying this cause Harwood makes both functional and non-funcational ram air hoods. I don't want you getting one and thinking it's functional and then it ends up being one of the non-functional ones. Oh and what I mean by functional and non-functional; functional - nostril openings open, non-functional - nostril openings not open.

Yeah, looks like some of them are closed off and you can cut them if you like. I'd rather have one already done.

Right now I have the non-functional harwood ram-air hood. I'm trying to get real ram air without buying a new hood. Has anybody ever cut out the holes and put on a new air box to make it functional? If you have, how is it in the rain? Does any water get in? If anybody knows anything about this it would help.
