Hi I am new to this site. So ill give you a little background first. I just recently purchased a 95 firebird formula. The odometer reads 153,000 on it, but the person I bought it from who was the second owner said the person before him rebuilt it. So if that information is correct it should have around 35,000 miles on the rebuilt motor. As far as I can tell the car runs fine.
Now for my question, I want to put a performance cam(package?) in my car and I was just looking for suggestions because i dont really know what to look for. Just want to know what you guys use and the best websites to get the best deals. Also the car is a daily driver so i want the best performance while still having it be a daily driver. Hope thats not to confusing.

With what you want and how you want to keep the car I'd go with the LT4 hot cam kit. It includes all the major stuff that you need to give your car a little more umph but still keep it streetable.
Some of the better/best sites out there for parts for our cars are Summit Racing, Thunder Racing, Speed Inc, Jegs and GMPartsDirect for new parts for our cars.

Keep in mind that with a cam swap you may need to have the ecm reprogrammed. Find out if this is needed before you buy the cam.

Yea i was talking to a guy at a performance shop in my area, and he was sayin it was really expensive to get the ecu reprogrammed because you have to burn a chip or something. He was telling me that to do that was probably around $500 or so. But I was wondering if i waited to get a chip burned would I still be able to see some power gains?

$500! That guy is behind the times. You can send your ECM to a tuner for around $170. Just tell them everything about the car & what you want done.

You can get a custom tune with two or three dyno runs from someone very knowledgable with our cars where I live for less than $500.00. Like Tyler says, just a reprogram should be a lot less.
