Alright guys, well as some of you may have known already, i have a notorious knocking vibration ever since i installed my LM exhaust. I found this on ws6store and decided what the heck, i may as well give it a shot. Seems like it would work.

LS1 Y-Pipe bump stop

Only question i have is this: Does anybody know FOR SURE what the diameter of the y-pipe on an LS1 WS6 is? I have been doing a bit of research and people say that regular T/A's are 2.5 and WS6's are 2.75...but nobody seemed to be sure they all began their measurements with "i think its..." I dont want to buy this thing for 40 bucks and turn around to find that it doesnt fit. I would go out and measure it now but i just got back from driving and i dont want to burn myself...and i dont feel like going out in the dark later on haha.

Yea you do have many issues Pyro - power tools, making things go boom, putting in skylights where they don't belong, etc. laugh.gif

But I'm not sure what size the stock Y pipe size on the LS1 cars cause I didn't measure mine before I got rid of it for an aftermarket one. sad.gif

Today i checked under the car since the pipes were cold and felt all around the the drivers side y-pipe and checked around to see if the pipes were physically hitting part of the car. Everything was clear, and the closest anything came to contact was the heatshield, which was about large enough to fit my pinky finger between. The crossmember cleared fine too...i guess it's just being caused by the engine. Can't think of anything else. I could either go put in Poly motor mounts (a large pain in my caboose). But i THINK that maybe if i use this bump stop, it will help stop the vibration, because i KNOW it is from the exhaust pipe. I put the car in gear, pull the E brake and look under and i can see the y vibrating like crazy, but only on the drivers side.
