I've done this with paint on my WRX and it looked really nice- small change that made it look a lot better. Anyone done this on their Formula?

I haven't done it but that might look pretty cool. The only thing I'd be worried about is getting the needles back on in the correct position again after taking them off to paint them.

I painted mine red with a clear red when I did the silver gauge faces. (sorry no pics)

Did you do them with the needles on the gauges? When i did the ones in my WRX, I just masking tape under the needles, then patined them with a red paint pen. The color was dark enough to be red day and night and just transparent enough to light the needles red at night without making them dark.

I've also been thinking about LED's for my dash lighting. The lighting looks so dim compared to the LED illumination in my XT.
