Where can I get the ram air hood inserts? I want the black honeycomb to match my side inserts. Pretty sure this would have been a stock insert? I can't find any at local wrecking yards. Found a couple places for expensive aftermarket but no cheapy black plastic ones.

here's my side ones.

About the only place I know to get them is from the dealer. Don't worry, if I remember correctly they're not too expensive from them either, unlike alot of parts for our cars. lol

nothing there I could find. A lot of thier categories don't even go have the option to go up to '99. Found a local dealer that can order them though for 28.50 each. Probably a big dealer markup but they're brand new GM originals.

I need some for my hood too. Or at least the size so I can make me some.

They are ordering direct from GM & any GM dealer can order them. That's not too bad a price. It incl ship/handling. I only found one other site & they want $40 a pair, doesn't incl ship or tax.

holy crap!! Those little pieces of plastic and 4 screws costs that much!! WOW they are making a ton of money off of those! I searched around for you on different websites and i can't seem to find any. However, if you WANT, you can check around on ls1tech's "For Sale" section and there are usually tons of people parting out their T/A's....if there's a WS6 on there ask for the hood vents. Just a possibility!

I better not lose my vents!!! I can't afford a loan to buy new vents! blink.gif

I agree with freshbake... charging rediculous prices for those is BS! That site wants $95 for for some crappy plastic hole covers... well I'll be happy to tell them where to shove them!!!
Freshbake
Seriously!! I mean, people would get parts through the dealer more often if they didn't charge completely insane prices. I mean 50 bucks for 2 flimsy pieces of plastic??? I should get into that business, i'll become a millionaire quick. Reminds me of the time i replaced my seatbelt guide...cost me like 30 bucks for a round piece of plastic and 2 small screws wacko.gif wacko.gif wacko.gif
