I purchased my 1995 TA right out of the showroom and haven't looked back!

I have maintained this vechile the best I could each year and have stored my car due to our winter seasons.

A few years ago I came across a very devious repair shop in the area because I needed an oil leak taken care of. One thing lead to another and I was told everything was fine. However, one day out for a cruise I noticed the temperature gauge rising and almost redlining! I shut the car off and had a CAA road assistance truch meet me and suggested I drive the car back to the repair shop to get it checked out. The car had been sitting for about a half hour but as I drove it to the repair shop, the temperature was rising again and there was smoke and water coming from the tailpipe. I arrived at the repair shop and shut the car off immediately.

What happened next just infuriated me!

The manager-scumbag of the repair shop called me the following morning to tell me that the engine had become hydrolocked!

I know for a fact I had not caused the damage to the vechicle and I had this investigated.

Let's just say it worked out for the best as I had Ed Wiens Automotive SAVE my car and in the end the $13 000 I put back into this car for modifications (ie: MagnaFlow exhaust system among one of the changes) had made this a better car then the day I purchased it!

This was done in 2006 and I didn't have my car for about 3 months while they worked on it and unfortunately I didn't have the car for the Summer of 2006.

As for Ed Wiens I know he builds championship engines for guys who travel all the way from Georgia and Florida. Ed is located in Niagara-On-The-Lake Ontario Canada.

Anyway here are the specs on my car:

hard to find a well maintained one-owner bird these days.

welcome.gif to TFS! I hope you enjoy yourself here. If you've got any questions, either about your car or the site, please let us know. I'm sure someone here can help you out.

And Pyro is right, finding someone who bought their car brand new and still has it is a rarity, so hang onto it. I hope you have many more years of enjoyment from it.

There we go!

Thanks Raz...

You using photobucket or anything? That's what I use cause free & easy. Also this may sound stupid but I didn't know I had to click the add image link & then paste the url, if you just paste the url or link in the message it doesn't seem to work. Looks like a sweet ride from your avatar pic though so some big pics would be cool!
SassySue09
Actually you don't even need to have a pic hosted any place to put it up here. All you need to do is upload it straight from your computer (like you would with an email attachment). If you do it that way a link for the pic will be added to your post and then members can click on the link to see your pics. The only thing is you can't use the fastREPLY to do that, you need to use the addREPLY button to get to that section of the reply box.

Also incase you didn't know, the Owners Gallery albums on here, once you make an album are a host site, similar to Photobucket, etc. The only thing that we ask is that only pics of your Firebird/Formula/TA be put it them. So no pics of just yourself, your other vehicles, party pics, etc please.

BTW, very nice looking 'Vert. I'd love to have one myself but I get too much snow here to justify having one. sad.gif

Looks awesome! I had a red 95 vert too, but it was a formie. :-D Great looking car, and welcome to the site. There are tons of f-body brainiacs on this site so if you need anything, post it up!!
