So I had a day off and decided to do some things I'd been wanting to do to the Formula. I put some Gran Sport style stripes on, cleaned the air filter, did the throttle body bypass mod, put in an airfoil and a throttle body cover, set of factory foglights and cleaned her up.

Can't see them in these pix, but I have LS1 tails in and the next little project is sequential tails.

Glad to took the time off to do something constructive!!! Wish I could say as much... ninja.gif

In this last pic you clearly broke the rules by parking in a no parking zone, so you clearly should not have that evidence against you... you need to repost the pic from there while you are doing smoky burnouts in front of their sign, that way you can't be held accountable for breaking the rule huh2.gif dancenana.gif burnout.gif

Hehehe, I like breaking rules- so much more fun than following the crowd. biggrin.gif

Nice job. Are those by any chance the foglights from Hawks? I'd like to hear more about the installation. I've been thinking of doing that mod myself.

Yup, that's them. Overall, I'd do it again, but get something nicer looking. They're OK, but I could've gone to Wallyworld and gotten something cheaper and nicer looking. It is kind of nice to have the brackets though. Basically, you just take the black inserts out (not much fun working on the driveway as I was) and put the bracket in and wire it up.

I wired mine to get power from the parking lights as well as ground. No switch, they just come on when you turn on the parking lights. Gotta locate my offset screwdriver to aim them though- I'm blinding Excursions right now laugh.gif

They all look nice. Good job.

But I do have to ask, why is there red paint on your intake manifold?

The previous owner had painted it red, but it didn't stick- haven't gotten around to detailing the engine bay yet, but I'm thinking he used regular paint, not the heat treated engine enamel, so it should come off fairly easily.

Ah ok, I thought that might have been what was going on. I just hope that the person who done that wasn't trying to pass off the stock intake as an LT4 intake since those are red. But yea the paint should come off pretty easy since it looks like it's flaking off on its own pretty bad. Good luck getting the rest of it off.
