I know you can get blackout tailight covers for a 93-02 firebird, but where do you get them? also, does anybody else have a pic of them?
And is there such a thing as blackout corners for a 93-97 firebird? I know they have clear ones, but those are way too ricey for my taste...but since my car is black, I think black might look good on the front...any ideas or pics?

Ah 95xlt1 is probably talking about Niteshade. That stuff is pretty cool...but it's permanent. So make sure you do it right if you decide to take that route. I'm pretty sure you can get that stuff at advanceautparts or someplace like that. Only a few bucks for a can. It's like spraypaint, you do it in layers. I gotta say, it does look much better than cars with covers...it's just permanent and that's the part that worries me about it.

Yeah that must be it, I wasnt sure what it was called but my buddy used it on the tail lights on his mustang and they came out nice. You can get it at just about any autoparts store like freshbake mentioned such as murrays, advanced, ex....

What he's talking about with the spray tint is the VHT Niteshade spary. You can get it just about anywhere that sells automotive spray paint but if you have trouble finding it locally I know you can get it here:
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.a...mp;autoview=skuJust be advised that using it on your car might not be legal where you live so if you have any questions about using it I'd check with your local laws before you use it because once it's on it's on and isn't easily removed.
Also I wouldn't use it on your corners. Under federal law your front turn signals have to be amber colored and clearly visible as being amber in color. If you use the niteshade on them you'd be running a big chance of getting pulled over and given a ticket, not only by the local boys/girls in blue but the county boys/girls and state ones too. Oh and I know around me, it's classified as a moving violation so that can mean points on your license and a decent fine to go with the ticket. Just wanted to warn you.

When I got my rear blackouts at AutoZone they sold the front corner blackouts to. They were kind expensive but they sold them. Thats been a few years ago.

Haha, the cops around here would definately pull me over for it...they definately know who I am and know my car...they know me by name, so I doubt this would be a great idea...however, how do people get away with the clear euro corners if they have to be amber in color?

yeah you can have clear corners as long as the bulbs are amber. I had clear corners on my 95 and had no issues with it whatsoever. As long as it flashes orange you'll be good. As for the NiteShade, you could always spray 1 or 2 layers on your back lenses, just to give it a slightly "smoked" tint...nothing too dark. That'll just be if you want it to look a bit different.

I put the blackout tail light covers on and also did the blackout corners and side lights in the back. I used the Niteshade as mentioned, works good on the corners light and side lights, it didn't take much like about 3 light coats. I tinted them just enough were you can see a little of the red and amber colors in the plastic. At night they still glow nice and bright. If you were to do the blackout, I would suggest blacking out the 3rd brake light. I will stick out like a sore thumb when its the only light not tinted. It makes a huge difference. I'll try to get home early enough today and take some pics if its not raining.

Click to view attachmentClick to view attachmentI have the black front and rear bumper corner lenses. Got them off Ebay. Word of advice... just avoid seller AceMotors. Overpriced and SORRY customer service. Other people sell them there as well.

These are not good pics, best I could do right now. If you notice the front corner amber glows more, the sun was shining on it directly. The futher you walk away the darker the lenses become. The car is dirty too, it's been sitting in my garage since last December which was the last time I washed it.

Yea as long as the bulbs are amber you can use the clear corners since the signals will show up amber colored that way. That's how they get away with the clear covers on the 98-02 btw, using amber colored bulbs.
But if you do want to darken them just be sure that you don't darken them to the point where the amber color doesn't show through. Several people in the car club I'm in here darkend theirs too much and they ended up getting pulled over all the time for it until they changed their corners.
