my car has a bigger cam, edelbrock throttlebody, and some z06 injectors! I need to open up my exhaust to benefit from these mods more! But my car is lowered bout 2 inches and i've got to pass emissions tests! what type of header could help me and pass emissions without scrapeing on every speed bump?

I have a stock height car running longtubes and I don't scrape at all, but that 2 inch drop is going to kill you. It seems like mids or shorties are your only options.

You might be able to use some mid-lengths, but like stated shorties may be your only option.

I just put shorties on my 97 for the same emissions reason. YOU GOTTA LOOK OUT FOR YOUR SPARK PLUG WIRES THOUGH!!!!! i went through 2 sets because the engineering was brilliant. the plug head on the 7th cylinder actually touches the header pipe.. and rubber and 2000 plus degrees dont mix well. I know they say dont touch the header but if you dimple it just and 8th of an inch and put spark plug covers on the wires, you should be alright. But you will like the effects the headers have.

Another thing you can do if you've got issues with the plug wires hitting against the headers, especially if you've got an LT1 car, is to run the plug wires over the valve covers rather then in their original position. This moves them out of harms way by rerouting them away from the headers while not interfering with them running from the spark plugs to the opti. To do this though you have to use over-the-valve cover wire looms and longer plug wires.
