If it dumps in the right spot it should be fine. Mine dumps way to far foward & all I get is fumes at the stoplight with windows down or t's off. I personally like the full pipes exiting out the back as far as looks go.
Hmmmm...well, back pressure is really only needed for proper functioning of the EGR valve. The more stuff comes into the engine and more stuff that can get out means more hp. However, GM has done a lot of experiments on this and has found that ideally, you want a 2.5 inch intermediate pipe dumping into a single 3 inch pipe about 5 ft long. That developes the best hp--take a look at how Borla designs their stuff--it works perfectly and the design is based on GM's engineering theories. Then again, so are about 99% of the NASCAR exhausts---see that single pipe coming out just ahead of the rear wheel on the right hand side?
If you hear and FEEL the exhaust, just do what I did--line the entire passenger compartment with Dynamat or the lighter Tsunami Sound Deadener--both are excellent. that way, you don't have to listen to the noises except for really good tunes, but everyone else will. Ha! That's what I used to tell them, anyway.
