OK so I have no reverse. Checked the fluid and it was very low. I checked it about two weeks ago and everything was fine then. I fill it up and still no reverse. The fluid did not blow out the fill tube and there are no visible signs of fluid blowing out underneath. All other gears function fine. Is it time for a new tranny or is there something else I should check before I yank it out? Oh it's a 4L60E, guess that would help. I'm clueless with auto transmissions.

hmm...thats weird, maybe if your other gears weren't working then I would say then you might be looking at a costly repair. However it does not hurt to check your shifter cable.

Yea, something just kind of struck me. I had a tranny mount go a while back and it was bouncing around pretty good, maybe a wire problem? But you'd think that would throw a code.

Not always. Make sure nothing is damaged. Might not hurt to do a fluid and filter change to see what you find in the pan. If not, cheap insurance as opposed to a rebuild. You could have burned a clutch running too low. How is first gear?

Ok well I blew up the sun shell. Dropped the tranny Saturday. I'd really like to meet the Canadian SOB that torqued down my bell housing bolts. I'd make that ah speak a few octaves higher after I kicked him where it hurts. So it's with the rebuilder now. Putting a beast sun shell in so I don't blow it up again and it gives me an excuse to put in a bigger stall

Hoping to put the new improved tranny and converter in this weekend.
