Hey guys and gals....

My name is Dane, I'm a professional firefighter from central Virginia, and I just bought my first F-Body, a 2002 Formula. Think I lucked out on it, since it only has 25k miles and a clean carfax. It's stock (as far as I know) with the exception of an SLP airbox lid. My tires are Riken Raptors on stock chrome rims. Its an automatic, with a posi 2.73 rear end (uugh...a lil too steep for me). Upgrades coming include headers/loudmouth II, a TB, a tune, and maybe some gears in the rear. I'm definitely going to need some help when it comes time to go shopping for headers...that will be a venture into uncharted territory for me. I love it so far though...pretty good amount of power for a stocker.

This seems to be a very informed and mature forum...can't wait to get in the mix!

welcome.gif to TFS Dane! Congrats on your new car. Have any pics of it?

If you have any questions about what parts to get for your car please feel free to post them up in the appropriate forum and we'll be glad to help you out. One thing though, with the TB, unless you plan on highly modifing your car I wouldn't change the TB out since the stock one can handle quite a bit of added HP. I'm saying that cause I'm still running the stock one on my 99 and I'm putting down 370hp at the rear and it works just fine. About the only thing I'd suggest doing is polishing up the stock one to make the inside smoother for a bit better air flow through it.

But again welcome Dane and I hope you enjoy yourself here.

Welcome to the site! That's a nice formie you've got there, but beware...once you start modding, you can't stop! biggrin.gif
