so i got the autometer electric fuel press. gauge and i'm trying to figure out where to tap into the fuel line for the sending unit. anyone ever install one of these? i get how to install the boost/vac one. thats cake work, but stumped on the fuel one.

Just locate the test port on the fuel rail and remove the schrader valve. You'll have to get yourself an NPT to -AN adapter to connect the sending unit to the rail fitting. On mine ('90 TPI) I used a 90 degree adapter along with a 12" braided SS -4AN line to mount the sending unit off the engine. You can mount the unit directly to the rail fitting, this was just my preference.

I just reread my post and after having my morning coffee I see I made an error. To do this you'll need a -4AN 90 degree swivel to attach to the fuel rail fitting. Then a -4AN to 1/8"NPT female /female adapter to mount the sending unit directly to the fitting. Sorry for the mixup, it's early here.

sounds much easier and cheaper than the alternative i found.

although, once i remove this block to drop in the stroker i might change over to the parallel circuit that this set up has. looks pretty clean.
thanks mongoose thats probably the way i'm gonna go. i didn't know the shrader was a 4an fitting

That whole deal in GMHTP is pretty involved but would probably be worth it if swapping an LT1 into a third gen.

when i looked in the plumbing of summit they had that exact fitting you spoke of. it was a -4an to 1/8 npt on a 90*. and its only 8 bucks can't beat that kinda fix. thanks mongoose!
