I am working on a 59 Chevy Apache PU. My father gave it to me when I was a teenager (long time ago). I first disassembled tho whole thing. I had my welder graft a 76 Nova subframe on the front, and I installed a 4-link rear set up. Drivetrain is a 1966 427ci BB (a lot of goodys), TH400 (Kelvar cluches, Transgo shift kit, 3800 stall), Rearend 10 bolt detriot locker (373 gears). Here are some pictures. And yes I tend to spread myself a little thin. Working on the truck is a way to keep me from working on the garage. even though I'm sure a ratchet is just as hard on your elbow as a hammer laugh.gif

I got the coilover installed. I first installed them in the stock location. Too much of an angle, and no clearance. had to make a relocation bracket. that seems to have worked.
First try

Ater new Bracket install

I also got the floorboards welded up. No rust, but a few holes from seat installs over the years. And i had folded a section over so the shifter would fit. ( good thing I was lazy and didn't cut it off). I also reenforced it a bit under the new runnung boards. Then undercoated everything.

Finally got around to take a few pictures of my progress. I got the complete drivetrtain installed, and put the cab back on (new rubbers of course). I mounted the engine about an inch and a half or so forward. This was for the HEI and big block valve cover distance. I did a number on the firewall like a dummy when i was younger.

I finished most of the brake system. Not going to install the last few brake lines until I put the front clip on. That way I know how to route them.

I stripped out most of the interior, and had to fix another mistake I made as a teenager. tearing a big hole to fit the stereo.

Finally got the last of the engine stuff I ordered. I had a problem with the power steering pump of the 76 Nova front clip I used not fitting. The year of big block I used has the alt. on the drivers side. So when I went to mount the Nova pump, the tank hit on the lower alt. Bracket. I had to go with a remote tank pump, and the custom brackets and pulley by Zoops. I still had to notch the lower alt. bracket a bit. I also got my chrome alt. (100 amp).

and the stance from the front with everything installed, and off the stands.
