I hit up KK Raceway up here in WI tonight.. decided to run the Formula since Ive never ran it before in the 1/4 mile. Made 2 passes. My 2nd pass was better but I gotta work on my reaction time... either that or have someone bang on my window to tell me when to go

If I can get that reaction time down a bit more Im sure I can prolly hit 14 flat on stock motor...

To get that reaction time down:

Stage - two top yellows
the tree starts dropin lights
ist yellow sit tight
second yellow drops - nail it!
green you will just be actually leaving

If you hold revs at 800 you shouldnt break out if you have ok street tires
if they are worn or a little old might launch from idle
if they are sticky try to idle up to 1200 - at this rpm you may be close to breaking out (red lite) if you launch on the 2nd yellow - it'll take some runs to see

This worked for me and friends I've started drag racing as a place to start

you CAN deff run better times that that w the ls1 man. i ran a 13.8 in my 96 lt1 with traction issues off launch. good luck on next try!
