I have 285/35R 17s on my rear. Made a huge difference in handling too.

You can fit 285's on there if you want! Only thing is that they are a bit more expensive, and the tires i get aren't offered in that size. Because my car is a DD and i just want to go with cheap-o tires i get the Sumitomo HTRZ-II's. Pretty good tire for the money. I like them! 95 bucks each at tirerack.com

I also went with the Sumitomo HTRZ II's from the tirerack.com. Just make sure the tires you get are all the same size (height). The car will light up the ABS inop, and the traction control lights if the height is staggered.

Really? I never knew that, but good to know now.

As for tires, The Kuhmo Ecsta AST is a good bargain tire that I can vouch for great results with, even though mine are just the 16" version. cool.gif

yeah i didn't know that either, i just thought the speedo would be thrown off...but now i can see how that makes sense. One set of wheels are spinning at a different speed than the other two...causing the sensor to think that one set of wheels has lost control. I learn something new every day :-)
