Hi. I am putting an original AM/FM radio back into my 70 Formula original radio location and moving the high tech system into the glove box. Will I need to change out the speakers from a resistance aspect or can I use the modern day speakers that the high tech system uses with a selector switch for each system? I know the first gen bird radios required a special ohm rated speaker. Thanks for any guidance.

2nd gens used a floating ground on the speakers. One wire was the + and the ground wire is routed to chassis ground. The head units had one wire for each speaker. You can use the factory speakers as long as a seperate = & - are used instead of the floating ground system.
