I'm sure you all recall the recent topic of the Water4Gas. It was composed of a container with water with some electrodes that separate the oxygen and hydrogen atoms. The reaction would thereafter lead to increased gas mileage and better detonation in the combustion chamber. Well about 2 weeks ago I was staying up late watching some T.V. which I usually never have the time to watch. Anyhow I came across this informercial under the a Spanish broadcast advertising this product called CheapGas, no space. It looked like a small yellow rectangular prism about the size of a deck of cards that opened in 2 halves. You were then suppose to attached them to your main fuel lines leading to the engine. The product would in turn ionize the gas and save you money. That is all they said. I don't know too much chemistry but exactly how would ionizing gas lead to better fuel mileage. Does it add more charge or oxygen which lead to more thorough detonation?

The gimmick did not convince me and after watching it several times i decided to call since they showed no price. I called and immediately an operator answers asking for my name and to confirm my phone number. She would have to hang up and then someone would return my call later. They did and boy was I surprised. this second operator sounded really uptight and really confident in her explanation. I was able to get out of her that the product is actually a magnet with a protective yellow plastic coating and can literally be installed in any car with either fuel injection or carburetor. She said since i had called during the informercial that i was entitled to a special offer. instead of 1, i would be getting 2 of them for only $120. I said wow!, I was expecting about half of that I said to her. She replied that the product had been on the market for over 5 years. the various supposed testimonials from all over the nation including those from california all the way down to florida was evidence as seen on the informercial. She insisted that i buy one even after she interrupted me several times after I asked her if she knew what goes on in the combustion chamber. then i started getting all technical with the types of gas and how performance would be affected if I used a octane booster or ran a high powered engine. Lets just say she was really rude with her attempt. In a final effort to obtain more credibility i asked if her product had an internet page I could visit. her response was that only customers have access to that, meaning I would have to buy one in order to have access. I told, "well you sound really confident about your product, but you can't even provide me a simple internet address. This product sounds really skeptical to me." that is when she just blew it and went off in all direction almost declaring a manifesto of some sort.

i had had it too so I just hung up on her and went off to make me a roast beef sandwhich. I have the number written down somewhere. I'll find it, it's toll free and post it on here so that you all can give it a try. peace

I have a chip I can sell you for $5. It will give you 50 hp and 40 mpg at 400+hp too. LOL

I love these things. I did some research on them a few years ago. About the best I was able to find is it helps keep the crap out of the engine and clogs the fuel lines where you install it.

It's BS.

I think you could get more mileage from that roast beef sandwich, than with that magnet. Ionized gas with a magnet?!! It boggles the mind.

well i see how that could work...

like once, a friend of mine took a deuce in his gastank and the fumes from the deuce bonded with the electroliticle structure of the gas and it boosted his octane by like 60points, whilst cleaning the gunk out of the engine and on occasion it would climb out and balance his tires for him. then he rubbed fariy dust on his injectors and all of the sudden his car sounded like an alcohol fuled dragster all the time, and even though it was a geo metro he drag raced a saleen s7 and won by like 50 car lengths.

oh, and did i mention all this happened at band camp?
