1979 Formula
Just purchased a 1979 Pontiac Formula and everything on the car is not up to par. I need to redo the engine seals along with the transmission. The passenger side door leaks as well due to the window is not seated properly. Other than that, I am glad to be back in a 1979 Pontiac, I use to have a 79 Pontiac Trans Am. I do have a 2006 Pontiac GTO that I have modified with a Cam, under drive pulley, headers and new exhaust from Magna Flow. The GTO right now does a 12.72 in the quarter mile and hoping to get the time down to a 12.50. I can't wait to get some helpful hints on the 79 Formula and look forward to hearing from some of you all. Here are some pictures of the Formula and GTO.

Enjoy.

Cool, I vacation down in the Myrtle beach area the second calender week of every April. I have been visiting the Carolina's for about 25 years now. Our place is at Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina just north of the border of North and South. I wish I could move down there, but family dictates that. Geneva and Wooster are alittle ways from us. So far I really like this site. I go to respond to some of these threads and some are quite old. Well some time in March/April I will have to try to get a hold of you to see if we could hook up. Well talk to you later.

Thanks and I know I will have questions. I need to do some improvements on this 79 Formula. Right now I need to re-sink my seats in the front and the back seats along with some door weather stripping. The drive side door weather stripping ripped and I don't know which way to go. I looked up some weather stripping and there is Latex and another kind (I think it's just regular foam stripping)? Look forward to talking to you all and hopefully some time go to some National show. Talk to you all later.

So far I have only use Mother's quick detailer on it. I love that stuff, that is what I use on the GTO as well. Thanks for the compliments, I need to pull the motor over the winter time and work on it as well as the motor compartment. I will try to post pictures. Thanks once again and so far I am loving this site.
