Hi there ,

I am thinking of buying some afr heads for my Lt1 ( 1994 ) the street eliminator 180cc .
I have new in the box the Lt4 hotcamkit , but what lenght of pushrods must i use , and must i change my lifters and my timing chain ?

Thanks ,

Michel

You can run stock everything else. It's always a good idea to replace the cam chain during a cam swap unless the motor has low miles on it.

Ok thanks , what is a good timing chain , must i buy a original one or a upgraded one ( cloyes or GM performance ) ?

GM makes a severe duty timing set but it aint cheap. My car had 74k when I put the hot cam in it and the stock chain had almost no visible wear. The side deflection was maybe 1/4" but I put a new chain in anyway. I just went with a stock replacement chain on the original gears.

Ok thanks Tyler.

Is it a good setup , the lt4 hotcamkit and the afr eliminator heads , does it work together ?
How many horsepower can i expect ?

Thanks
Tyler
I would bet at least 80 hp gain.

Ok thanks for the answers Tyler.
