Thats a tough call, cam or headers.... Either is a pain to install but I think I would go with the cam first.

what all does a new camshaft entail? Likes other parts needed.

if you stay with a very very mild cam you wont need anything other than a tune to make sure the car is running at it's best. If you go with a larger cam, you will have to get quite a bit more. We are talking heads, springs, the works haha. And that will cost you much more than $500. A mild cam is probably what you want. It's a tough call between the cam and headers, because you already have all the modified induction and exhaust parts other than the headers...the headers is what you need to really wake up the car and benifit from the mods you already have.
Personally, I would do the headers and then go with the cam. but thats just my opinion. both are excellent mods

Think of it like this. The cam will be the least $$ but the hardest to install. The headers usually cost quit a bit but will be easier (not easy!) than the cam to put in. Either one will make you invent new cuss words while installing

Nah dude, go with the headers, get your full exhaust first since you have all the other parts already. Complete your Exhaust. I would wait for the cam on that because if you get a mid cam and notice good Hp increase, then you are going to want more. ask yourself that then you are going to spend more money to have that removed and get a better one. Better to wait and get a serious bigtime cam. instead go with headers Then get some gaskets and little parts here and there like a Goodyear Gatorback Serpentine Belt, maybe a tune up don't forget the diff oil, maybe aluminum pulleys. tell summit to send you a catalog to take a look at the LT and LS1 section. it's really good.
