to install my headers the directions call for removal of my steering shaft, im not to sure on how to do this and im weary about messing with my steering lol i have a hayens manual but it doesnt have anything in there about this, does anyone have any info or experience with the steering shaft?

I am not sure about the LSx models, but it should be a few bolts to remove it. It will not be a problem if you remove it and replace it, unless you bend it or strip a bolt.

What brand headers do you have? I'm asking cause I've helped put in several different type on both LT1 and LS1 cars and on none of them have we had to remove the steering shaft to get them in.
