2000 Formula, Auto Trans. 130,000 miles. VAT has been bypassed.

Has anyone experienced turning key, having all accessories working, and no starter at all? Not even a click. After a period of time, sometimes as little as ten minutes, will start and drive OK. Occasionally, while driving, Security Light comes on.

Also have been having random times when shifter will not move from Park.

Could be your battery. You may be getting enough juice for the accessories, but not enough for the starter.

My car did this once. I went to start it, and it wouldn't crank or anything...then i saw that the security light was on. I kept trying over and over and nothing. I decided to go and research what the problem may have been, finding all types of alternatives such as a new resistor is needed for the key ect...about an hour after i walked back outside and tried again. It started right up just fine after just waiting for a while.

lock and unlock your doors. it sounds crazy but it might work
