I have 315/35/17 tires on the bakc of my car(a little larger than stock:)) I took the rims off for the first time since ive had them on in july, and my bump stops are shaved off completely from them...

here's a noob question: what exaclty do they do anyway?

My car rubs when i hit a big bump or have a lot of weight in the vehicle...what can I do to prevent this, and more importantly, what do the bump stops do?

I know I could just replace them, but theyd be destroyed as well...what are my options? I dont want to do spacers or roll the fenders...is there any other way? thank you!

The bumpstops are there so when your rearend bottoms out your not hitting metal on metal,
so they need to be there.
Also there is a such thing as bumpstop relocation where the bumpstops are relocated to a spot just inside where they normally are. Then the old mount area can be cut/modified for extra clearence for larger wheels/tires.
