So it's been quite some time since i've gotten into a nice race...mainly since i just got off from a reckless ticket. I've been driving carefully and have turned down a few races against "unworthy" opponents haha! But yesterday on my way to work, i just happened to line up with a nice Merc at a light. It was a C55 AMG, dark silver with a custom exhaust (maybe more mods i dont know). But anyways, the light turned green and i didn't really know about racing, and i wasn't going to initiate the race so we just kinda drove off across the intersection and drove at normal speeds. Then up ahead the next light turned red and i saw the benz gun it before he started to break for the light...so i figured he was the type who would race. Anyways, we sat at the light just staring ahead and the light turned green. We accelerated at normal speeds across the intersection and then i gave it juuust a little bit of gas to see how he would react and the guy driving the benz floored it and got a good jump on me. I was waiting for him to do that, so i quickly nailed the gas and caught right up to him. I stayed about half a car's length ahead of him and then started to pull even more up top pretty good, but then i shut it down since we were coming up fast on traffic. Definitely a good race, and those things sure are quick. I checked them out online. They are rated at 362hp / 376tq stock with the 5.5L V8 in them. We gave each other thumbs up and parted ways. Fun race!

Nice kill. I'd definitely classify any AMG as a worthy opponent.

Good kill on the autobohn cruiser.

kinda a dumb question but i've been having problems with my launches. can't find the right place to. its a 6 speed and it just wants to burn em off the line. also...i can't get any races in my small town cuz everyone seems to be scared biggrin.gif

I usually do a quick burnout to warm the tires up first. It's hard to get them to hook from a hard launch if they're cold.

Get a Torque arm or some LCA's (or both...just be careful for that poor old 10 bolt), and it should solve your problems.
