Hi again everyone! Hope you all have had a great Christmas!!!

I have a question I been trying to figure out about my 91 Firebird Formy.
The best I can describe it is like when you make a tight turn with a 4X4 Vehicle you get kinda like a lop happening...well my car is doing it!
Dont matter if I am in drive or reverse,if i turn tight or even close to tight turn it feels like my wheels are square or like 4x4 feels like??? lol
make sence to anyone???
I do have new wheels and tires on it...has been doing this since I bought the car, even before the new shoes :-)

Thanks a bunch!

I would check the front end components out. Ball joints, tie rods, the struts, and the cross links. If any of those are bad that can cause that when you add the stress of turning. Most alignment shops, reputable ones, will let you know and show you if you ask them too.

Well I forgot to mention the ball joints and tie rods are new.The guy I bought this car from had just done all this and brakes and rotors.
I will have the struts and cross links checked. We only have 1 alignment shop here in the very small town I live in,they really suck too. Atleast you gave me a dirrection to start checking,Thanks so much!

Even though the tie rod ends are new still make sure that when they were put on they were adjusted correctly. If they weren't put on correctly they still cound be causing a problem.

Also what size tires/rims do you have on the car both with the old tires and with the new ones. If those are too big you could be having issues of the tires hitting/rubbing on the inside of the wheel wells.

I had an issue similar on my 1987 Firebird where it felt hard to turn and made it feel like the wheel was dragging. It ended up being the lower control arm bushings being shot. They would flex too much. I had the front end up on jack stands and I had my wife turn the wheel stop to stop with the car off and it looked fine, but when I had her start it up and turn it, it pushed the driver's side wheel way over. I replaced both sides and it corrected the issue.

Going to try the control arm bushings tomorrow, cant wait to see if it fixes it.Thanks so much, will let you know!
