Heylo all! I recently obtained a 77 firebird formula... it was an everyday driver up until about 2001, then it was started off an on till about 2003 when it just began to sit... i recently started restoring it and got it to pass California smog with less then $1000. anyways everything on it is stock, and was wondering what is the correct tire size for this car? also i find alot of bounce as im driving, i figure this must be the shocks/struts/springs.... any idea where i should go to get these parts? would somewhere like autozone or kragen be a good idea, or should i go through a restoration mag like Paddock, yearone, or Classic industries?

i'd say that yearone or edelbrock would be good. i know that edelbrock has a lot of suspension parts. as for the wheel and tire size...check the tire. hopefully it says something like 215/40/r15 or somethin like that. idk anymore that. sorry if thats too vague but its the only thing that i can suggest. only 2nd gens i remember seeing with stock rims and tires were a little oversized.

225/70/15 if the wheels are 15x7's
And Shocks is your most likely candidate for a bouncy ride.
Trust me spend the money for quality replacement shocks you won't regret it.
