Hello,

So I have decided that i'm going to do my exhuast. I have no clue what kind to get, I have looked at acouple but cant decided, there doesn't look like to many brands that go with an 89.

So im asking if you could post what kind of exhaust you have on your 89 firebird..

smile.gif thanks!

The Car appears to be a Formula 350 correct ?

Then you would need something that is designed for that Model with the dual Cats;
Dynomaxx, Flowmaster and Magnaflow should all have catback kits for your car.
Your budget is your only limitation.

It only has one cat. I have been looking at magnaflow. I think ima going with that one.

Magnaflow makes a quality product. I almost went with one on my 97 and I believe Sue does have it on her LT1 car. I bought a decent muffler on ebay for around $40 to my door. It sounds great to. Sounds like a banshee at WOT and does not resonate while driving normal. My 89 does still have stock sized pipes however.

Magnaflow does make a nice looking, nice sounding, reasonably priced product. Honestly, who can hate magnaflow?

Thatd be a good choice

I agree. Who can hate magnaflow? But anyway if you plan to have a shop work on it then talk to them before doing any shopping. I know that my local shop does whatever you want them to. Heck really any shop around here doees. But they can get stuff for you at a better price
MasterTomos
definately true...they may be able to suggest something you havent thought of or maybe never even heard of(who knows?) and it could be a lot cheaper than ordering a catback online...

no matter what you do to your car, always shop, research, and compare, but also weigh in what you like. smile.gif too many people forget to do that.

Thank you all.. Everyone makes this so easy smile.gif

I went with MagnaFlow and it should be here tomorrow or the next day. Costed me around 450 though. acouple of places couldn't ship one out untill 2/5 and I can't wait that long! My car is all jacked up ready to go.

Me and my friend are going to try doing this ourselfs, doesn't look to hard. The one thing is do you know if I will need a flange to connect the one pipe to my stock catback? It doesn't come with a flange or gaskets, but the gaskets shouldn't be to hard to find.
