My main question is are Kooks headers worth the price. I have been told they have top notch quality and are the best. And they do not hang nearly as low as SLPs or Hookers do. So thats a big plus there. So ya are they really worth it.
And another question can someone please explain what stepped headers are/do?
Thanks

Everybody praises Kooks, but really the way i see it...all LT headers will give you pretty similar results. I've never heard anybody really complain about headers rather than "they hang too low". So the way i see it, you are paying a LOT more money just to save a few inches of clearance space. If it were me, i would save some money and have them hang a bit lower (that's what i did do, actually haha!) But i might suggest looking at a set of Pacesetters, ceramic coated. One of the most inexpensive sets of ceramic coated headers on the market, and they tuck up very nicely.

Stepped Headers help maintain exhaust velocity inside the tubes as the exhaust expands .
They are not really needed on a street application.
Another option is
American Racing Headers

Ya freshbake I remember that picture of your SLP headers. There very low.
Ah so many choices.
But if I do go with pacesetters or hookers with the money I would be savin I could finally get my WS9 hood.
