Got 2 formula door badges from ebay, one black and one silver...I took a few pics holding them up to the car...I couldn't find my double stick tape to save my life today so you'll just have to imagine what it'd look like from a distance...

Ok heres a thought
Paint them both Silver then get some Black overlays.
Are you following me on this?
The emblems would appear black but outlined in silver.

Craig, I considered that same exact thing you suggested before you said it

I do like the "stealthy" look as well tho...
I've got to wait until it gets warmer to put them on there anyway...so I've got some time to think it over...

Dude the glue on the sticky tape will work just fine in the whatever weather just not when it's wet. But since you are not even driving it right now then just hold off I guess. I would get the silver one. It could match with your rims, but if thats the only other silver you have then go with black. Is your tink stock? I've seen some with mirror tint and silver emblems. My plan is the following, car is SOM, black emblems, with chrome outline. It's gonna look bomb! Buy yeah go with silver it stands out, plus there are too many sleeper birds out there. How is it in your town?

what do you mean is my "tink" stock?
I am probably goin with silver...but the shiny chrome like rims dont really go with the silver on the car...so I might go to the auto store and have them mix me somethin up or maybe hit up my father in law's body shop...not sure yet...
In town here, there's a guy that owns a 95 and a 96 z28...both black. One with a silver SS hood and 69 Z28 emblems, the other has stock exterior.
There's another 4th gen Z rollin around, black with chrome emblems...other than that there isnt many v8 4th gens...they're all black or black and silver, but it looks awesome and is definately a crowd pleaser...
Ill probably just paint them a lighter metallic silver...

Yeah that was the point
There are so many people doing the same things that you really need to differentiate yourself.
And little details like this are what makes people take a second look.
Dual accent colors are another idea of mine I'm currently running silver on my NBM Car but am looking at adding a touch of red into it.

Well i got them all painted up and clearcoated...theyre both a very light metallic silver...I decided not to go with chrome because i have never liked the look of anything painted chrome...
I am going to put them on the car tomorrow or thursday and Ill take some pics. Im still going to order the black overlays, ill see how much I like the silver on there, and see how long it takes me to get bored with it....
Ill make a new post in the new few days with the car in the all new snow free driveway!

to bad the roads arent salt free

Personally, I'd do a red overlay if you get bored. That would stand out really well..unless you want the black on black theme.
