sorry gang, Freudian slip... i meant to say 'fuel starved', heh heh... when turning right my 94 Formula LT1 hesitates once or twice like its not getting gas momentarily... going straight or turning left it doesn't happen. i tried a search to see if this has been discussed already, but the search function wouldn't work for me... any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

No problem, we can fix that.
How much fuel is in the tank when this occurs? How many miles on the fuel pump?

the tank is full, the pump is original, 52m miles on the car...

i guess we're out of ideas, huh? the car runs fine, i can get on it with no problems UNLESS i'm going around a tight right turn, then if i take it easy it's good, if i hit it though, it falls on it's face for just a split second, and then goes again... i could understand the gas sloshing away from the pump if the tank is low, but there's over 3/4 of a tank in it...

I am at a loss on this one. What about the fuel filter? Has it been changed that you know of? Maybe some debris is floating around when you turn? What about the power steering pump? Does it whine at all? Is there fluid in everything? Does it do it sitting still and turning the wheel?

does this happen when you turn the wheel ALL the way or just partially?

thanks for the replies guys, i'm thinking it's the fuel pump... the first couple times it happened was while i was turning but i think that was just coincidence... it's doing it now whenever i open the throttle past halfway, even going straight... i see RockAuto has several: a Spectra for $150, Airtex for $161, Delphi for $190, ACDelco for $212, and a Carter for $229... any opinions on which one i should get?

a buddy says his Chevy started doing the same thing until it crapped out altogether... so i guess i'll park it before it leaves me stranded... if i drive it like a normal person it's fine, but who wants to do that?
